Teresian House Foundation is the charitable arm of Teresian House Center for the Elderly. The Foundation was established in 1990 to develop effective community relations programs and fund-raising activities to benefit the residents and staff of Teresian House.

Over the last decade, the Foundation has raised over 2.5 million to assist in the mission of providing the highest quality of care to our elderly. Volunteer Board members invest, manage and distribute funds to benefit the Teresian House community by enhancing the home for the residents, sponsoring educational workshops, expanding benefits for the dedicated employees, and developing special programs relating to elder care for the community.

Ways to Give:

Where the Spirit of Love and Dedication Lives - this is the theme that distinguishes Teresian House and makes the experience of our residents so special. This love, generated each day by the Carmelite Sisters and the dedicated Teresian House staff and volunteers, goes hand and hand with your generous financial support. Your gift can help support a program of your choice, honor a loved one or friend, and give a gift in memory of a special person.

Support The Mission Of Teresian House:

Gifts of every size are appreciated throughout the year. Unrestricted gifts allow Teresian House to maintain and improve the facilities, provide special programs for the residents and sponsor various events.

Memorial Gifts:

A memorial gift is a meaningful and significant way of paying a lasting tribute to the memory of a loved one while offering comfort. Memorial donations may be sent directly to Teresian House Foundation. With the proper information, an acknowledgement letter will be sent to the family informing them of your thoughtfulness.

In Honor Of A Loved One On A Special Occasion:

Annual Christmas Appeal:

The Annual Appeal supports priority needs throughout Teresian House Center for the Elderly. Whether you choose to make a gift to a specific program or to make an undesignated gift, your support helps to provide comfort and care to all who come through our doors.

Gifts of cash are the simplest way to contribute to the Foundation. To make it easier please print this card of donation and mail with your donation or you may donate online.

Appreciated Securities:

If you would like to donate to the Teresian House Foundation and you own appreciated stocks, a very tax efficient way to make the donation is to transfer the stock to Teresian House Foundation. Donors who contribute stocks that they have held for longer than one year and that have increased in value since they were purchased are entitled to claim a federal tax deduction based on the fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift to Teresian House. In addition, by contributing a gift of appreciated securities donors will avoid paying capital gains taxes on the stock that has been donated.
