The Broadview Scholarship Program is back again for 2024 and awarding 87 scholarships totaling $149,500!

2024 Scholarship Categories 

BROADVIEW INITIATIVE SCHOLARSHIP
Value: $2,500
Awarding: 11 scholarships 


Eligibility: Broadview or CAP COM members who are high school seniors or college students pursuing an undergraduate degree at a credited 2- or 4-year college, university, or trade school.

Honoring: Honoring Paula Stopera, Robert Berroyer, John Ilacqua, Jean Myers, Weidner “Ed” Davis, Ed Gilligan, Dr. Carmen Cornute, Harold Horning, Judy DeLong, Robert Cornute, and Tim Jennings for their commitment and dedication to our legacy credit unions and embracing the credit union philosophy of “people helping people”.

BROADVIEW ON CAMPUS SCHOLARSHIP
Value: $2,000
Awarding: 8 scholarships 


Eligibility: Broadview or CAP COM members who are high school seniors or college students pursuing an undergraduate degree at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Skidmore College, University at Albany, and University at Buffalo.

BROADVIEW INCLUSION SCHOLARSHIP
Value: $2,000
Awarding: 8 scholarships


Eligibility: Broadview or CAP COM members who are high school seniors or college students pursuing an undergraduate degree at a credited 2- or 4-year college, university, or trade school.

This scholarship is for individuals who are of a historically excluded community, based on race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability differences, socioeconomic status, etc.

BROADVIEW GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP
Value: $1,500
Awarding: 60 scholarships
 

Eligibility: Broadview or CAP COM members who are high school seniors or college students pursuing an undergraduate degree at a credited 2- or 4-year college, university, or trade school.

SELECTION CRITERIA:
To be eligible for any of these scholarships, applicants must be a member of Broadview or CAP COM Federal Credit Union when you submit your application. Students are encouraged to apply for all scholarships for which they are eligible. Each applicant is limited to one scholarship per year. Full-time, part-time, seasonal or temporary employees of Broadview or CAP COM and its subsidiaries are not eligible. Essays must be 500 words or fewer. If an essay is longer, judges will only read the first 500 words. All application material must be received by April 30, 2024. All applicants will be notified of our decision by May 31, 2024. For Initiative and General Scholarships, you must be at least a graduating high school senior or college student pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited 2- or 4- year college or university, or pursuing a diploma or trade certificate from an accredited trade school. For On Campus Scholarships, you must be a graduating high school senior or college student pursuing an undergraduate degree at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Skidmore College, University at Albany or University at Buffalo. For Inclusion Scholarships, you must be at least a graduating high school senior or college student pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited 2- or 4- year college or university, or pursuing a diploma or trade certificate from an accredited trade school and belong to a historically excluded community, based on race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status.
